Welcome to the homepage of Tallinn University of Technology’s (TUT) department of industrial psychology! The department of industrial psychology is one of Tallinn University of Technology’s youngest departments, which was established by Tallinn University of Technology Council decision no. 10 on 17 February 2009 and officially opened on 1 July 2009. The department of industrial psychology belongs to TTÜ’s Faculty of Social Sciences. The main focal points of the department of industrial psychology are Industrial Psychology and engineering psychology (including work and organisational psychology, ergonomics in engineering) and the branches of psychology related to these fields (including leadership psychology, economic and business psychology, quality of life including quality of work life), as well as engineering education and new educational methods (such as E-teaching).There are three study chairs in the department of industrial psychology – Chair of Psychology, Chair of Educational Policy, and the Centre of Estonian Engineering Pedagogy. All three study chairs have their own history and long-lived traditions.

In our educational activities, we feel it is extremely important that TTÜ offer instruction in university-wide subjects on the bachelor, master and doctorate levels. Today our department has two accredited study programmes: the
Office Administration
